Sec. 2. A court may not appoint a party to the proceedings, an employee of a party to the proceedings, or a representative of a party to the proceedings as the:

(1) guardian ad litem;

Terms Used In Indiana Code 31-32-3-2

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
(2) court appointed special advocate;

(3) guardian ad litem program; or

(4) court appointed special advocate program;

for a child involved in the proceedings.
