Sec. 2. A child commits a delinquent act if, before becoming eighteen (18) years of age, the child leaves home or a specific location previously designated by the child’s parent, guardian, or custodian:

(1) without reasonable cause; and

Terms Used In Indiana Code 31-37-2-2

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
(2) without permission of the parent, guardian, or custodian, who requests the child’s return.
