Terms Used In Indiana Code 6-1.1-25-0.5

  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
  • real property: include lands, tenements, and hereditaments. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
   Sec. 0.5. This chapter does not apply to vacant or abandoned real property that is on the list prepared by the county auditor under IC 6-1.1-24-1.5 unless the bid on the real property by the highest bidder is not at least the minimum bid and the county auditor executes and delivers a deed for the real property to the executive of a county, city, or town under IC 6-1.1-24-13(c). There is no right to redeem real property under this chapter after its sale under IC 6-1.1-24, if the real property is on the vacant and abandoned property list prepared by the county auditor under IC 6-1.1-24-1.5.
