  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30.   • Month: means a calendar month, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • office of technology: refers to the office of technology established by Ind. See Indiana Code 1-1-7.7-2
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • political subdivision: has the meaning set forth in Ind. See Indiana Code 1-1-15-1
  • prohibited person: refers to a person that has been designated as posing a national security threat to the integrity of communications networks or the communications supply chain under 47 C. See Indiana Code 1-1-15-2
