• administrator in training: means an individual who:

• administrator in training program: means an internship program that:

• Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
• agency: refers to the Indiana professional licensing agency. See Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• Answer: The formal written statement by a defendant responding to a civil complaint and setting forth the grounds for defense.
• Attorney: includes a counselor or other person authorized to appear and represent a party in an action or special proceeding. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
• board: refers to the Indiana state board of health facility administrators. See Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
• Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
• Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
• Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
• health facility: means any institution or facility defined as such for licensing under IC 16-28 and classified into care categories by rules adopted under IC 16-28. See Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• health facility administrator: means a natural person who administers, manages, supervises, or is in general administrative charge of a licensed health facility whether such individual has an ownership interest in the health facility and whether the person's functions and duties are shared with one (1) or more individuals. See Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
• Judgment: means all final orders, decrees, and determinations in an action and all orders upon which executions may issue. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
• Jurisprudence: The study of law and the structure of the legal system.
• Month: means a calendar month, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
• postsecondary educational institution accredited program: means a postsecondary educational institution that:

• practice of health facility administration: means the practice of an individual who is designated by the legal owner of a health facility to operate a health facility, including:

• preceptor: means any of the following:

• Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
• Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
• residential care administrator: means an individual who:

• residential care facility: has the meaning set forth in Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• sponsor: means a sponsor of continuing education programs for health facility administrators. See Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
• student intern: refers to an individual who is:

• student internship: means an educational experience that:

• training center: means an educational center that is approved by the board to oversee and manage an administrator in training program. See Indiana Code 25-19-1-1
• United States: includes the District of Columbia and the commonwealths, possessions, states in free association with the United States, and the territories. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
• Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
