The Iowa Code as hosted by LawServer is based on the online statutes published by the Iowa legislature, and is updated after the legislature updates its own version of the Code. The legislature does not immediately update its online statutes when a new law is enacted, however. So to bring your research up to the date it is sometimes necessary to look for laws enacted since the latest version of the Statutes was published. That information is available here.
