Under the Iowa Code, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:| Class | Prison | Fine |

The records required by section 123.101 shall, during business hours, be open to inspection by any peace or law enforcing officer. It is a simple misdemeanor to refuse such inspection.
