Terms Used In Iowa Code 481A.15
- Commission: means the natural resource commission. See Iowa Code 481A.1
- Department: means the department of natural resources. See Iowa Code 481A.1
- Owner: means a person, other than a lienholder, having the property right in or title to a motorboat or vessel. See Iowa Code 462A.2
It is unlawful for any owner or the owner’s agent to remove or destroy any existing dam, or alter it in a way so as to lower the water level, without having received written approval from the environmental protection commission of the department.
