Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 12-4908
- City: means any incorporated city in the state of Kansas;
(b) "home for the aged" means a building or buildings and the appurtenances to be used as a home for aged persons, and such other persons as the governing body of the city shall direct and shall include adult care homes;
(c) "adult care home" shall have the meaning ascribed thereto under Kan. See Kansas Statutes 12-4901

If the governing body of the city and the owners of any property desired for the purpose of a home for the aged cannot agree as to the price to be paid therefor, or if the owner or owners of the property refuse to sell the property, the governing body is authorized to exercise the right of eminent domain in the manner provided by Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 26-501 to 26-516.
