Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-2862h

  • Board: means the board of county commissioners of an urban area county;

    (d) "Person" means an individual, firm, partnership, corporation, joint venture or other association of persons;

    (e) "Hotel, motel or tourist court" means any structure, or building, under one management, which contains rooms furnished for the accommodation or lodging of guests, with or without meals being so provided, and kept, used, maintained, advertised, or held out to the public as a place where sleeping accommodations are sought for pay or compensation to transient guests or permanent guests and having more than eight (8) bedrooms furnished for the accommodation of such guests;

    (f) "Transient guest" means a person who occupies a room in a hotel, motel or tourist court for* more than thirty-one (31) days;

    (g) "Cafe, cafeteria, lunchroom and restaurant" means any premises, or any part thereof, in which food is prepared or further processed, and thereafter either is sold at retail to the general public by a person licensed by the state food service and lodging board or is furnished to the members and guests of a private club licensed pursuant to Kan.   • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.

Any holder of bonds issued under the provisions of this act or any of the coupons appertaining thereto, and the trustee under any trust agreement, except to the extent the rights herein given may be restricted by such trust agreement, may, either at law or in equity, by suit, action, mandamus or other proceedings, protect and enforce any and all rights under the laws of the state or granted hereunder or under such trust agreement or the resolution authorizing the issuance of such bonds, and may enforce and compel the performance of all duties required by this act or by such trust agreement or resolution to be performed by the board or by any officer thereof, including the fixing, charging and collecting of fees.
