- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
Any county which is unconditionally authorized to make a tax levy under Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 3-316 and 3-322 may issue and sell general obligation bonds based upon and in lieu of making all or part of such tax levy authorized under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 3-322. Any bonds issued under authority of this section shall be subject to like limitations as bonds issued under Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 3-319 and shall be issued in the same manner.
