  • Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.

(a) After a hearing and a finding that discovery procedures, as described in Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 60-226 through 60-237, and amendments thereto, will expedite the proceedings, the judge may allow discovery subject to limitations.

(b) Upon request of any party or interested party, any other party or interested party shall disclose the names of all potential witnesses.
