Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 38-545

  • Dismissal: The dropping of a case by the judge without further consideration or hearing. Source:
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Undertaking: means a promise or security in any form where required by law. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Youth: means child adjudicated to be a delinquent child, miscreant child, wayward child, traffic offender, truant, deprived child, child in need of care or juvenile offender. See Kansas Statutes 38-553

It shall be the duty of the superintendent of the youth camp or home to keep a complete record by counties of all youths placed in the youth camp or home, including age, sex, time of admission, and time of discharge, conduct and character, state of health at time of admission and dismissal, and shall make a monthly report to the judge of the district court of each county party to the joint undertaking and to the judge of any other county from which juveniles have been received into the youth camp or home. Such monthly report shall be made on a form prescribed by the board of directors.
