Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 60-2314

  • Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

(a) Except to the extent otherwise provided by law, the state and political subdivisions of the state shall have exempt from seizure and sale upon any attachment, execution or other process issued from any court in this state:

(1) Any municipal property exempt from process pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 12-151 or 17-4753, and amendments thereto.

(2) Any county property exempt from process pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 19-108 and amendments thereto.

(3) Any state property exempt from process pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 60-723 and amendments thereto.

(b) This section shall be part of and supplemental to article 23 of chapter 60 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated.
