- Lawsuit: A legal action started by a plaintiff against a defendant based on a complaint that the defendant failed to perform a legal duty, resulting in harm to the plaintiff.
A judgment in a lawsuit brought under Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 61-3801 through 61-3808, and amendments thereto, shall not be a bar to any subsequent lawsuit brought by either party for claims not included in such judgment.
