Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-1686

  • Board: means the state board of pharmacy. See Kansas Statutes 65-1682
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Program: means the prescription monitoring program. See Kansas Statutes 65-1682
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The board is hereby authorized to contract with another agency of this state or with a private vendor, as necessary, to ensure the effective operation of the prescription monitoring program. Any contractor shall be bound to comply with the provisions regarding confidentiality of prescription information in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-1685, and amendments thereto, and shall be subject to the penalties specified in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-1693, and amendments thereto, for unlawful acts.
