Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-188

  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • reservoir sanitation officer: means the county engineer or other officer designated by a majority of the county commissioners in counties with territory in such sanitation zone, subject to the approval of the secretary of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-185
  • Secretary: means the secretary of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-1,114

The county attorney of every county is hereby authorized and directed to file appropriate actions for the enforcement of this act upon the request of the secretary of health and environment or the reservoir sanitation officer. Actions of injunction, mandamus or quo warranto are appropriate to enforce the provisions of this act. In any proper case hereunder a district court may issue its order granting relief in the nature of affirmative orders as well as negative orders.
