As used in this act:
(a) “Confidential data” means any data which permits the identification of individuals.

- Department: means the department of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-1,175
- Person: means any individual, firm, partnership, corporation or other association of persons. See Kansas Statutes 65-171j
- Secretary: means the secretary of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-1,114
(b) “Health care provider” means a person licensed to practice medicine and surgery, a hospital or ambulatory surgery center, as defined in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-425, and amendments thereto, a radiology oncology center, a person licensed to practice dentistry, as defined in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-1422, and amendments thereto or a pathology laboratory.
(c) “Secretary” means the secretary of the department of health and environment.
