Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 66-128f

  • Commission: means the state corporation commission. See Kansas Statutes 66-101a
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Public utility: means a public utility as defined by Kan. See Kansas Statutes 66-118a
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Any public utility subject to the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 66-128b to 66-128g, inclusive, which constructs an electric generating facility and was not required to obtain an advance permit under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 66-1,159 et seq. shall make and send monthly financial reports to the state corporation commission. Such reports shall include the following information, as of the date of the report, the: (a) Actual costs incurred; (b) total estimated cost of the facility; (c) percentage of the facility which is actually completed; (d) estimated date of first commercial operation; (e) copies of informational filings provided federal agencies having regulatory authority over such construction; and (f) any other information required by the commission. Such reports shall be prepared and certified in the manner and form required by the commission. Nothing in this section shall limit the commission’s authority to require filing of data in any format by any regulated utility the commission deems necessary to accomplish its regulatory duties.
