Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 66-1,181

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Commission: means the state corporation commission. See Kansas Statutes 66-101a

The provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 66-118a through 66-118e, 66-118g and 66-118h, and amendments thereto, as they apply to the review of an order or decision of the commission arising from a rate hearing, shall be applicable to any appeal taken from any decision made under this act.
