- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
The governing body of any city may submit the question of issuing general obligation bonds of the city as authorized by Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 68-437 to the electors at an election called by the governing body at any time and held thereon. The governing body shall submit such question upon submission of a petition signed by not less than 10% of the qualified electors of the city.
