Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 79-2804d

  • Foreclosure: A legal process in which property that is collateral or security for a loan may be sold to help repay the loan when the loan is in default. Source: OCC
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

When any sale of real estate on foreclosure shall be set aside as invalid or void and money and interest have been refunded thereon, or when any refunding shall have been made under the provisions of law, the proportions thereof which have been paid as taxes to the state, township, city, school district, or other taxing districts, with interest as provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 79-2804c, or amendments thereto, and costs thereon, shall be refunded to the county, and on the next settlement thereafter the county treasurer of such county shall be credited therewith, on the certificate of the board of the county commissioners.
