  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

The provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-5133, 79-3610, 79-3611, 79-3612, 79-3613, 79-3615 and 79-3617, and amendments thereto, relating to the assessment, collection, appeal and administration of the retailers’ sales tax, insofar as practical, shall have full force and effect with respect to taxes, penalties and fines imposed by this act.
