Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 9-1901

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Any corporation that is not insolvent or critically undercapitalized and otherwise transacting business under the state banking code may be dissolved by its board of directors in accordance with Kan. Stat. Ann. § 17-6801 et seq., and amendments thereto, provided the bank has completed a liquidation to the satisfaction of the commissioner pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 9-1919, and amendments thereto.
