The Cabinet for Health and Family Services, the Education and Labor Cabinet, and the Department of Education may assess reasonable charges for services rendered under this chapter, based upon a sliding fee scale which takes into account the extensive services required as a result of, and the extraordinary expenses related to, a developmental disability; provided that no charges for services rendered under this chapter may be assessed for compliance with requirements and responsibilities mandated under any state or federal act as provided under subsection (5) of KRS
347.010.

  • Federal: refers to the United States. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
  • Services: means such residential, developmental, vocational, support and related services, training, and active treatment in the least restrictive, individually appropriate environment to provide for continuing development of independent or interdependent living skills of persons with developmental disabilities. See Kentucky Statutes 347.020
  • State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes territories, outlying possessions, and the District of Columbia. See Kentucky Statutes 446.010
