Terms Used In Louisiana Civil Code 2650

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Legatee: A beneficiary of a decedent

A person who assigns his right in the estate of a deceased person, without specifying any assets, warrants only his right of succession as heir or legatee.
