The sheriff shall pay the recorder of mortgages a fee of one dollar for recording each notice filed for recordation; and the sheriff may charge a fee of fifty cents for each seizure entered in his seizure book.  

The sheriff is under no duty to make any seizure of property under the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 13:3851 through 13:3861 unless the seizing creditor pays him in advance the fees to be due him and the recorder of mortgages under this Section.  All such fees shall be taxed as costs of the seizure.
