Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2653

  • livestock: means any animal bred, kept, maintained, raised, or used for show, profit, or for the purpose of selling or otherwise producing crops, animals, or plant or animal products for market. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2651
  • Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.

In the prosecution of actions under this Subpart, it shall not be necessary for the plaintiff to show that the owner, harborer, or possessor of the dog had knowledge of the fact that the animal would kill, harass, or wound livestock.
