  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

As provided in Article VII, Section 14(C) of thethe Louisiana Constitution and for the purpose of implementing a “Rails to Trails” program, the state and its political subdivisions or political corporations may engage in cooperative endeavors with each other, with the United States or its agencies, or with any public or private association, corporation, or individual.
