Subject to the provisions of section 2-1304, subsection (3) and section 2-1305, subsection (3), with respect to goods covered by a certificate of title issued under a statute of this State or of another jurisdiction, compliance and the effect of compliance or noncompliance with a certificate of title statute are governed by the law, including the conflict of laws rules, of the jurisdiction issuing the certificate until the earlier of: [PL 1991, c. 805, §4 (NEW).]

Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 11 Sec. 2-1105
- Goods: means all things that are movable at the time of identification to the lease contract including mobile homes, or are fixtures (section 2?1309), but the term does not include money, documents, instruments, accounts, chattel paper, general intangibles or minerals or the like, including oil and gas, before extraction. - Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
(2). Four months after the goods are removed from that jurisdiction and thereafter until a new certificate of title is issued by another jurisdiction.
