- Department: means the Department of Health and Human Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 1-A
As used in the first paragraph of Article V of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, the phrase “appropriate authority in the receiving state” with reference to this State shall mean the Department of Health and Human Services.
