Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-B Sec. 1102
- Adult: means a person who has attained the age of 18 years. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
- Cannabis: includes cannabis concentrate but does not include hemp as defined in Title 7, section 2231, subsection 1?A, paragraph D or a cannabis product. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-B Sec. 102
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Administrative and Financial Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-B Sec. 102
- Department: means the Department of Administrative and Financial Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 28-B Sec. 102
The Adult Use Cannabis Regulatory Coordination Fund, referred to in this section as “the fund,” is established as a dedicated, nonlapsing Other Special Revenue Funds account in the department. The fund is administered and used by the commissioner for the purposes of adopting rules under this chapter and for the purposes of implementing, administering and enforcing this chapter. The commissioner may expend money in the fund to enter into contracts with consultants and employ staff, as determined necessary by the commissioner, conduct meetings with stakeholders and conduct any other activities related to the implementation, administration and enforcement of this chapter.
