Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 4876
- Animal: means any animal other than man and includes fowl, birds, fish and reptiles, wild or domestic, living or dead. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 4853
- Licensed veterinarian: means a person who is validly and currently licensed by the board to practice veterinary medicine in this State. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 4853
- Veterinarian: means a person who has received a doctor's degree in veterinary medicine from a school of veterinary medicine. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 32 Sec. 4853
A licensed veterinarian may sell and dispense the written prescription of another licensed veterinarian with respect to any prescription or administration of a drug, medicine or nutritional substance on, for or to any animal in accordance with this chapter. [PL 2011, c. 30, §1 (NEW).]
