- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. Every officer, agency, board or commission of this state or political subdivision of this state or agencies thereof receiving applications for exemption from taxation of any charitable trust shall annually file with the attorney general a list of all applications received during the year.
