  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.    This act, in all of its provisions, in the interests of society and in conformity with public policy is intended to protect the rights and interest of the people of the state and the uncertain and indefinite beneficiaries of all charitable trusts, and shall be so construed as to effectuate its general purposes.
