Terms Used In Michigan Laws 324.11527
- Department: means the director of the department of natural resources or his or her designee to whom the director delegates a power or duty by written instrument. See Michigan Laws 324.301
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (1) A hauler transporting solid waste over a public road in this state shall deliver all solid waste to a disposal area licensed under part 115 or a solid waste processing and transfer facility licensed or registered or for which a notification has been submitted under part 115.
(2) A hauler operating within a county with a materials management plan prepared by the department shall provide recycling services that meet the requirements of the benchmark recycling standard for single-family residences for which it provides solid waste hauling services within that county.
