Terms Used In Michigan Laws 324.17206
- Person: means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, governmental entity, or other legal entity. See Michigan Laws 324.301
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), beginning January 1, 2009, a person shall not sell, offer for sale, or distribute in this state an esophageal dilator, bougie tube, or gastrointestinal tube if mercury or a mercury compound was added to the product during its manufacture.
(2) This section does not apply to either of the following:
(a) A product the use of which is required by a federal statute or regulation.
(b) A product whose only mercury-containing component is a button cell battery.
