Terms Used In Michigan Laws 325.2006

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
   “Purchaser or payer of health care” means an individual who represents a health care purchaser or payer, including but not limited to, an employer, health and welfare trust fund, government health benefits program, nonprofit health care corporation, or insurer that purchases or pays for group health care benefits or services.
