  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.    An inspection or investigation warrant may be directed to the sheriff or any law enforcement officer, commanding the officer to assist the state or local health department in the inspection or investigation. A warrant shall designate and describe the location or thing to be inspected and the property or thing to be seized. The warrant shall state the grounds or cause for its issuance or a copy of the affidavit shall be attached to the warrant.
