Terms Used In Michigan Laws 333.26271
- Third party payer: means a public or private health care payment or benefits program including, but not limited to, all of the following:
(i) A health insurer. See Michigan Laws 333.26263
This act does not apply to copies of medical records provided to a third party payer, insurer as defined in section 106 of the insurance code of 1956, 1956 PA 218, MCL 500.106, or self-funded plan.
