Terms Used In Michigan Laws 333.5831

  • Care: includes treatment, control, transportation, confinement, and isolation in a facility or other location. See Michigan Laws 333.5101
  • child: means a single or married individual under 21 years of age whose activity is or may become so restricted by disease or specified medical condition as to reduce the individual's normal capacity for education and self-support. See Michigan Laws 333.5801
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
  (1) An approved hospital receiving a child or youth with special health care needs shall send to the department a written report on a form furnished by the department that contains the date of admission and discharge, the names of approved physicians and surgeons, and other information the department requires.
  (2) The time for making the report under subsection (1) must conform to applicable state and federal requirements.
