Terms Used In Michigan Laws 393.357

  • Commission: means the commission for the blind. See Michigan Laws 393.351
  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
   The commission may accept contributions or gifts in cash or otherwise from persons, associations, or corporations. Contributions and gifts shall be expended as provided by law, in the same manner as moneys appropriated for implementing the purposes of this act. The donor of the gift may stipulate the manner in which the gift shall be expended within the guidelines of this act.
