Terms Used In Michigan Laws 408.117
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
- Workforce investment act: means the workforce investment act of 1998, 29 USC 2801 to 2945. See Michigan Laws 408.113
The governor shall designate Michigan works areas in the state in accordance with section 116 of the workforce investment act, 29 USC 2831.
