  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
   The power conferred on a township by section 13 and 14 shall be exercised by means of an ordinance adopted by the township board according to the procedure set forth in Act No. 191 of the Public Acts of 1939, being section 41.191 to 41.192 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, and the contract agreed upon with the corporation as provided in section 14 shall be incorporated in and published as a part of the ordinance.
