Terms Used In Michigan Laws 432.213a
- City: means a local unit of government other than a county that meets all of the following criteria:
(i) Has a population of at least 800,000 at the time a license is issued. See Michigan Laws 432.202state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
A licensee shall not be subject to any excise tax, license tax, privilege tax, or occupation tax, which is imposed exclusively upon the licensee by the state or any political subdivision thereof, except as provided in this act. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the city from assessing a processing fee in an amount to be determined by the city on responses to requests for proposals for development agreements.
