  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • seal: shall be construed to include any of the following:
  (a) The impression of the seal on the paper alone. See Michigan Laws 8.3n
   The great hive of the Ladies of the Maccabees is hereby authorized to amend its constitution, laws and by-laws, at any regular review of said great hive, after its incorporation, but such amendments shall not be inconsistent with the object and purpose of such association as stated in its articles of association and such constitution, laws and by-laws, shall be in force from and after the filing with the corporation and securities bureau of the department of commerce of an attested copy thereof, under the hand of the great recorder and the seal of said great hive.
