  • Court: means the circuit court. See Michigan Laws 722.1492
  • Party: means a child's mother or a child's alleged or legally established father under this act. See Michigan Laws 722.1492
  • Reporter: Makes a record of court proceedings and prepares a transcript, and also publishes the court's opinions or decisions (in the courts of appeals).
  No filing, order, or court reporter‘s fees are required for an action or proceeding under this act, but the court may assess any costs, service costs, and attorney fees against the nonfiling party in an order under this act.
