Terms Used In Michigan Laws 830.414
- Building authority: means the state building authority created by this act. See Michigan Laws 830.411
- Devise: To gift property by will.
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC

The building authority may acquire property by purchase, construction, lease, gift, devise, or condemnation, and for the purpose of condemnation, it may proceed under the provisions of Act No. 149 of the Public Acts of 1911, as amended, being section 213.21 to 213.41 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, or any other appropriate statute.
