The superintendent shall require the court administrator of every court which sentences a defendant for a felony, gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor, or petty misdemeanor to electronically transmit within 24 hours of the disposition of the case a report, in a form prescribed by the superintendent providing information required by the superintendent with regard to the prosecution and disposition of criminal cases. A copy of the report shall be kept on file in the office of the court administrator.

- court administrator: means the court administrator of the court in which the action or proceeding is pending, and "court administrator's office" means that court administrator's office. See Minnesota Statutes 645.44
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
