Terms Used In Missouri Laws 267.727

  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

In addition to the remedies provided for in sections 267.670 to 267.730, the prosecuting attorney of any county in which a violation of any provision of sections 267.670 to 267.730 occurs, or the attorney general of the state, is hereby authorized to apply to any court of competent jurisdiction for and such court shall have jurisdiction upon hearing and for cause shown to grant a temporary or permanent injunction to restrain any person from violating any provision of sections 267.670 to 267.730.
